For the Student Summer Sprint programme, you’ll be working in teams to build a technical project. Think of this as an invention marathon - we want you to be as creative as you like! Make sure you check the digital workbook for all the information you need to know about the project, which is available here: summer.hackathonsforschools.com/workbook
Themes
Upskilling
Your project could enable users to learn a new skill - like a language, making art, or how to play an instrument. This includes increasing a user’s knowledge about a specific subject.
Sustainability
Your project may aim to benefit future generations as well as your own. This includes tackling current social, economic or environmental problems. For example, a tool that connects people of different generations or something that helps young people search for work experience.
Revamp your Routine
Your project could try to make the mundane tasks we have to do daily more exciting. You might make a chatbot to reply to emails, something to make your commute to school more exciting or an alarm clock that actually wakes you up in the morning.
